Patterns of life – look for the patterns around you
The imperfect and seemingly unimportant become beautiful patterns when designer Kiki Plesner-Löfroth observes her surroundings. Everyday glimpses become design patterns. Kiki from Plesner-Patterns is intrigued by Biophilic design – an architectural concept with natural references. Nature is taken in, where tactile and analog elements reach the patterns. In his lecture, the designer behind Plesner Patterns talks about his inspiration, where thoughts wander into patterns that can in turn give the viewer small pockets of time in everyday life. Her work finds its way into wallpapers, cushions, furniture and custom-made patterns.
Through textile and wallpaper design, Plesner Patterns transforms our environment. We need a connection to nature to feel a sense of belonging to something bigger, where nature-inspired patterns and colors can help reduce stress and increase productivity in the workplace, according to the designer.
