Tradition Meets the Present – A Patchwork of Memories

The new upholstery textile Patchwork by Plesner Patterns is inspired by the checked patchwork quilts lovingly created by generations of grandmothers with patience, skill, and care. Looking to the past while embracing the future, Patchwork offers a contemporary take on something familiar and cherished – an updated classic that carries both nostalgia and innovation. 

One of the unique features of the Less Sofa is that consumers can easily replace the cushion covers themselves. For this launch, we reupholstered an existing showroom sofa, highlighting a sustainable and resource-conscious approach. Woven by Innvik AS in Norway, Patchwork continues the proud legacy of Norwegian textile craftsmanship, with quality, durability, and longevity at its core. The textile covers were sewn at LK Hjelle’s factory in Sykkylven. The result is a fully Norwegian-made product with a remarkably short production journey.
